II v 1. приказывать, распоряжаться: to order smb to do smth — приказать кому-либо что-либо сделать; to order smth to be done, to order that smth should be done (that smb should do smth) — приказать, чтобы что-либо было сделано (чтобы кто-либо сделал что-либо); 2. заказывать: to order smth — заказывать что-либо (1).
